A discussion with the editor of a Catholic magazine on Joe Duffy’s radio show Liveline today resulted in listeners sending Twitter into overdrive.
The editor of Alive! was on air to chat with host Joe bout an article they had published that claimed children who suffered corporal punishment in their youth go on to be more successful in their later lives.
However, the already-controversial subject was heightened due to the callers at home voicing their views, with one woman ranting about the direction in which Ireland is going in – listing gay marriage and masturbation as society’s ‘ills’.
