It was revealed yesterday that it was unlikely Colette Fitzpatrick would be returning to her position as co-host on TV3’s Pat Kenny Tonight.
Although it was stated that the presenter would take up a research position at the programme, it’s now been revealed that Colette was asked to step down from her frontline role ahead of the show’s return this Wednesday.
Speaking to the Irish Sun an insider said, “TV3 has taken Colette off the show. She is very disappointed as she feels she did an excellent job on the programme last season.”
The insider also stated that the decision to remove Colette was made solely by TV3 bosses last week, and just two weeks ago she was billed as co-presenter on the station’s listings.
Pat Kenny also had no idea of the change, and had a fantastic working relationship with Colette. Pat Kenny Tonight returns to our screens this Wednesday at 10pm.
