TV3 star Anna Daly has opened up on how having kids has changed her attitude towards her body shape.
The former model and tv presenter has revealed that becoming a mum caused her to stop worrying about trying to achieve the ‘perfect body’.
The mum-of-two commented: “If I felt the pressure, I’d probably be skinnier than I am. I don’t know who said that, but I copied it from her and I thought it made sense.
“I do look at things in shops, like a playsuit and go, “When I’m skinnier I’ll wear that,” and I think everybody does that.”
She added: “[My size] doesn’t keep me up at night. I know I could improve – but I don’t feel a huge amount of pressure.”
The 36-year-old, mum to James (3) and Euan (2) told Evoke.ie that although she used to fret about her appearance, it’s now a thing of the past.
“When I look back to my life pre-kids, only four years ago, even just shopping for red carpet events I would have been quite fussy,” she said.
“I’d be fussy about going to different places for dresses, but now I get sorted in the first shop. I think your priorities are completely different.
“That’s not to say you don’t like getting glammed up for the red carpet or on Saturday night, but you don’t have the whole weekend to be picking outfits or killing yourself in the gym.”
‘She added: “You’re trying to balance up everything, you’re trying to get family time as well and get the balance right if you ever do.”
