The hosts for this year’s TV3 Toy Show have been announced as Brian Ormond and Maria Walsh.
Taking over from Brian McFadden and Karen Koster, the duo will front the Christmassy kids show on Friday 20th November at 9pm.
This year’s show is billed as a “90-minute entertainment spectacular” which feature performances from talented kids as well showcasing the must-have toys that will feature on Santa’s list for December 25.
Brian and Maria will be joined in studio by some special guests on the evening, and the Rose of Tralee star is particularly excited about the gig, her second venture into Irish tv in recent times having recently filled in for Lucy Kennedy on the Seven O’Clock show.
“I’ve always dreamed of being a part of a toy show. When TV3 approached me I was over the moon and I just thought this was right up my alley and something I could bring a lot of energy to and have loads of fun in the process,” she said.
“I love everything about Christmas and the magic it brings to children; I’m really looking forward to playing with all the kids and toys!”
Meanwhile Brian, who recently revealed his return to tv with TV3 gameshow ‘Big Money Game’, said: “I’ve worked on a lot of great shows but I’ve always wanted to host a Toy Show. I’m a bit of a big kid myself so when TV3 approached me I was absolutely thrilled. I’m looking forward to getting into the Christmas spirit”.
We’re sure his and wife Pippa O’Connor’s little boy will be thrilled to see his dad on the tv with all his dream toys!
