Janet Jackson disappointed fans this week by announcing that she will be postponing some European dates of her Unbreakable Tour, including her Dublin date on April 2nd.
It has been reported that this cancellation came about because of poor ticket sales. Although it’s being said that the concerts are just being postponed, ticket owners were offered a full refund, leading them to believe that the shows will not be rescheduled.
Fans were left worried following the announcement that Janet’s health may have been poor, but it then came out that the star’s sales had not been doing as well as she hoped. However, Janet announced to Billboard.com that she promises to reschedule the shows.
“She was about to flop, badly. When an artists cancels an entire leg or postpones pieces of the tour, the real reason is because they’re not selling. It’s better to cancel than play a room thats half-filled, especially if you’re Janet Jackson” a source told The New York Post’s Page Six gossip column.
Let’s hope the shows will take place soon!
