Miriam O’Callaghan has revealed there’s a third party in her marriage but it’s not as bad as it sounds – it’s her iphone!
The broadcaster admitted that since her husband Steve moved to his native Belfast with The BBC, they communicate mostly over the phone. “Steve says there are three people in this marriage: him, me and my iPhone,” she said.
Despite their long distant relationship, the bubbly Prime Time host said things were “going really well now” and the pair were very content.
Speaking to the Sunday Independent, the radio and tv presenter said that her husband “loves being back in Belfast and loved being there for his Dad.”
As well as marriage talk, Miriam also revealed how she’s trying to get “super-fit”, and her main concern was weight around her tummy. “Our family weakness is our tummy!” she revealed, “so just this morning, I started doing weights at home.”
The busy mother-of-eight also spoke about why she goes into work every day with a smile on her face and again, it boiled down to having a good relationship.
“Who you choose to have by your side is incredibly important….And if you choose the right person, who loves you and supports you, that’s 99% of the battle. Then you go in to work happy”, she said.
