The VIP List: What we’re loving this week

The weather really has turned this week.

It’s official that it’s autumn, which means that we’ll be spending a lot more time indoors wrapped up warm and wearing all our favourite knits.

We’ve had a lot of things to love this week!

Digital Editor Bronwyn is loving…gorgeous jewellery

I am a jewellery lover. Of course, I have my go-to pieces.

But sometimes it’s exciting to update my accessories, especially with the changing of the season.

I’m a huge fan of Irish jewellery brand Betty&Biddy and their autumnal collection is the stuff of dreams.

Run don’t walk to pick up some statement pieces.

Head of Commercial and Events Rebecca is loving…a lifted lash

The Queen of Makeup, Aimee Connolly has done it yet again, with Lashlift, another brilliant release in the Sculpted range.

The struggle is real to find a good mascara that also offers value for money. Lashlift is a revolutionary new mascara designed to deliver a long-lasting 360-degree lift, length, and definition to your lashes.

AND, it is also smudge-proof and clump-free, all for just €23. What’s not to love!?

Staff Writer Anja loves…Seafood & Wine

Not much can get me out of the house when it’s lashing rain, but a reservation at SOLE Seafood & Grill. Yes, despite the wintery conditions that awaited me outside, I braved the wind and the rain for a meal to remember at what just might be one of my favourite Dublin restaurants.

The night featured a 6-course menu crafted by SOLE’s Culinary Director, Richie Wilson, with each meal perfectly paired with a selection of wines presented by Maxence Moutet of Maison Brotte. Just last month the restaurant announced their exclusive partnership with the esteemed Brotte vineyard in the Southern Rhone Valley in France. This comes as the Laudun appellation in Côtes du Rhône Villages is being promoted to Cru status.

To give you an idea of some of the dishes on offer in SOLE, for starters we were treated to Rock Oysters and Scallops, followed by Lobster & Sole. The main, was a classic Surf & Turf while the dessert featured a Roast gala apple and hazelnut praline mousseline. Heaven. Of course, before each dish, we were also topped up with the most delicious pairing of wine you could imagine.

Bronwyn is loving…smelling delicious

This year, I’ve become a perfume girlie. And it’s all thanks to Sol de Janeiro!

Sometimes it’s hard to pick just one of them. Well the geniuses at the iconic brand have created the Perfume Mist Discovery Set which features five different scents so you can pick your signature scent.

And you won’t have to break the bank to do it!

Rebecca is loving… healthy hair styling

I am finally jumping on the heatless curls bandwagon and excited to give it a whirl using my new heatless curler and bonnet, from Irish brand, My Lily.

This brand offers a range of 100% Mulberry Silk products to help protect your hair from heat and friction damage while sleeping. They also have fab eye masks and do a gorge range of giftsets.
