The VIP List: Here’s what we’re loving this week

Easter is over and we are still thinking about four-day weekends.

We have had a busy few days here at VIP HQ as we have just launched the 2023 Platinum VIP Style Awards. Don’t forget to get your votes in here.

But aside from all the glitz and glamour, here’s what team VIP has been loving this week.

Staff Writer Anja is loving…JOICO YouthLock haircare

For someone who has naturally curly hair, finding products that can reduce frizz while boosting overall scalp health can prove difficult. Therefore, I’m always up for trying out new hair products that come my way. Most recently I’ve been loving the YouthLock range from JOICO!

Formulated with collagen, the collection recaptures and sustains youthful bounce, shine, and manageability; while locking in strong, lustrous hair. With a revitalising shampoo and conditioner to choose from, the range also comes complete with a treatment Masque that’s perfect for transforming frizzy, dry, unruly strands into a manageable halo of shine and lushness. While the YouthLock Blowout Crème helps you achieve that sought-after salon blow-dry from your own home.

I actually look forward to hair wash day now! Who would have thought? NEW JOICO YouthLock haircare is available from salons and beauty e-tailers.

Digital Editor Bronwyn is loving…Andrew Fitzsimons Repair Moisture Mask

I am going on a haircare journey. After years of bleach, my hair needs a little, well, a lot of TLC.

So first things first, finding haircare products that work for my hair. One of the hair masks that have me absolutely obsessed is the Andrew Fitzsimons Repair Moisture Mask for Damaged Hair.

I use it once a week when washing my hair. So, do your normal hair wash and then pop the mask on your hair for 10 minutes before washing it out. I thought that it would need a few washes for the events to start working but I immediately saw that my hair was much softer and shinier than it had been.

Yes, I am truly a convert, as I should have been a very long time ago. You can find out more details here.

Staff Writer Anja is loving…Afternoon Tea

I am very much an Afternoon Tea girly. Whether you’re catching up with friends, celebrating a birthday or simply want to indulge in an afternoon of luxury, there’s nothing quite like sitting down over a cup of fancy tea (maybe even a cheeky cocktail) and eating miniature sandwiches and cakes.

So when the opportunity came about to attend a 5-star Afternoon Tea in the Conrad Dublin how could I say no? We were treated to a spread of sweets cakes and savoury bites made using locally sourced ingredients, alongside an impressive tea list to choose from. But the best part about the experience was that it was dog friendly! Yes, now your four-legged friends can wine and dine in luxury just like you with their very own nibbles to choose from.

Sounds like something you’d enjoy? You can check out the Conrad Dublin offering on OpenTable now and book a space.

Digital Editor Bronwyn is loving…movie nights

Who doesn’t love going to the cinema?

There are so many incredible movies out right now. Over the Easter holidays I brought my younger siblings to see The Super Mario Bros. Movie. And when I tell you I was the best big sister ever…I mean, it might have been better than all the Easter eggs they got.

They were beaming from ear to ear the whole way through. And I am still singing Jack Black’s hilarious Peaches song.

If you want to leave the kids at home there are plenty of more grown-up flicks as well. Including the newly released Nicholas Cage and Nicholas Hoult movie, Renfield. A modern and hilarious take on Dracula’s servant Renfield as he tries to break free from his master’s wicked ways.

Or check out Air, the story of how the iconic Nike Air Force 1s or the Dungeons and Dragons film.
