The VIP List: As March comes to an end, here’s what we’re loving

We’ve had a busy week here at VIP HQ as we sent our April issue off to be printed. Yes the stunning new issue will be with you in the next few days and we are so excited to share it.

We’ve also had plenty of interviews this week, we’ve been enjoying some lovely lunches launching the new Hendrick’s Flora Adora gin as well as some incredible theatre in the form of The Ocean at the End of the Lane.

Because you know what they say, all work and no play makes Team VIP dull girls.

Here’s what else we’ve been lovely this week.

Weekend Editor Sláine is loving…Rye Lane

I will always appreciate a good rom-com, but these days those are pretty hard to come by. Luckily Rye Lane manages to perfectly fill that void.

The London-based film follows Yas and Dom, who have both been unlucky in love lately and are going through bad breakup. But after a chance encounter they bond over their situations, and head out on a mission to get over their exes.

It also brought back so many things I love about classic rom-coms, with witty (and quotable) one liners, a vibrant setting and filmography, but importantly it’s simply a story about people connecting.

Staff Writer Anja is loving…topping up on the go with the MODA LED Compact Mirror

Life is officially busy again. Between events, catching up with friends and after-work drinks, it’s been hard to gather a minute for myself as of late. If you’re like me, waking up early to do your makeup in the morning can be a great pain. Instead, I prefer to do it right before I’m heading out for whatever purpose it is and Vanity Planet has made that all the more easier thanks to the MODA LED Compact Mirror.

It’s equipped with customisable LED settings for every eventuality, providing the perfect light for however glam you intend to go. So if you’re trying to do a quick top-up, or even a full face in the depths of the darkest room with zero access to natural lighting, this might just save you. On the flip side of the compact, there’s also a 10x magnifying mirror, helping you find your full face in the frame to make sure everything is blended seamlessly.

I’m seriously obsessed with this one!

Digital Editor Bronwyn is loving…a cuppa tea
Bronwyn and her trust mug

It may be a problem, but I cannot function with a cup of tea. The first thing I do when I get into the office is, well start my computer, and then head straight to the kitchen to make a cup of tea. I even have a favourite mug in the office.

I take my tea milky, no sugar. Which may be offensive to some, but not to me!

Of course, I’ve learned that regular black tea isn’t the best to drink in the evenings, although I still love to. Instead I’ve swapped my usual cuppa with a herbal tea. I love a chamomile tea before bed or you can even just get “Sleepy” tea to help you rest.

If you are like me and want to show your love for your cuppa you can wear it with Barry’s Tea. They teamed up with artist Claire Prouvost to create a gorgeous art piece that you can wear on a limited edition jumper. You can find all the details here.
