We spent this week dodging rain showers and then piling on the SPF. You never know what type of weather we’re going to have in an Irish summer!
Despite all that, we’ve had so much to keep us smiling!
Here’s what Team VIP has been loving this week…
…Lavender haze

The Cape Clear Lavender Festival (Féile Lus Liath Chléire) returns for its third year on Saturday, 27th June to Sunday, 28th June 2026.
And I couldn’t be more excited!
The inspirational idea to plant lavender across Cape Clear quite literally took root in 2021. Today, more than 5,000 lavender plants flourish across Ireland’s southernmost inhabited island, supporting a thriving community enterprise involving local growers, producers, crafters, hospitality businesses and residents. The initiative was established to identify a sustainable crop that reflected the island’s agricultural heritage while creating new opportunities for agritourism and local enterprise.

…giving skin some TLC

Sometimes I feel like I give my skin a rough time. I’ve always had acne-prone skin, but now, as I’ve gotten older, I’ve noticed more redness on my face.
But I have no idea where to begin with treating this. So when I learned that Therapie Clinic was launching a new treatment plan, SKIN+ which combines effective treatments into targeted programmes tailored to your skin concerns.
After going in for a consultation, I was recommended to go for the SKIN+ Clear package to help with both congestion and redness. It’s four treatments of Hydrafacials and Skin Theory Peels.

…an iced treat

If I could describe this weather in one word I would say it’s “soupy”. It’s hot, it’s wet and I am always damp.
I need to cool off! And what better way than with a gorgeous iced coffee?
I was able to go into Nespresso this week to learn how to make the most perfect iced coffees at home. And you can call me a barista now.

…a good movie
I was lucky enough to get a sneak peek of The Invite this week ahead of its release in Irish cinemas on July 3rd, and all I can say is wow.
The film follows Joe (Seth Rogen )and Angela (Olivia Wilde), whose marriage is already hanging by a thread. But when they invite their enigmatic upstairs neighbours over for dinner, what starts as an ordinary evening quickly spirals into something far more chaotic, hilarious and uncomfortable in the best possible way.
Both Olivia and Seth are simply fantastic, while Penélope Cruz and Edward Norton are brilliant as the mysterious neighbours who completely upend the night.
It also somehow managed to keep me on the edge of my seat while also making me laugh harder than I have in a cinema in a very long time. The music, the performances, the writing and Olivia Wilde’s direction are all top-notch. I couldn’t recommend it enough!
So do yourself a favour and go see The Invite when it lands in cinemas on July 3rd.
…a sweet treat

Look, everyone has seen the Tayto Candy Floss limited edition flavour by now.
And I can’t lie I was scared to try them but they’re actually such a nice little treat.
That perfect mix of sweet with that crunch – I’m a fan!
Tayto: Candy Floss flavoured crisp is available in on-the-go packs in shops nationwide for a limited time only.
…Scandi skincare

Let me tell you, I was so buzzing to find out that Lumene was coming to Ireland.
The Scandi skincare brand has a cult following and I have been so, so excited to try the brand out.
Some of the brands iconic products include the best-selling foundation with 4 sold every minute, the iconic CC cream, the patent-pending Nordic Hydra Serum, and the luminous Nordic-C range.
Each formula is crafted with truly unique ingredients found only in the far North, like wild Arctic cloudberry, pure Arctic spring water, and nutrient-rick Nordic berry water, capturing the glow of the midnight sun.

…lucious lashes

I am such a fan of Merit Beauty. I love their blush and lipsticks especially! So I was so excited to hear that they were launching a brand new mascara.
Available in Black and Brown, Clean Volume is a buildable tubing mascara that lifts, separates and sculpts lashes for precise, all-day volume, delivering impact through definition rather than excess.
As someone with light features, I adore brown mascara. So knowing that they have brown from the jump is such a joy for me.

…perfect CC cream

This time of year it’s important to wear SPF but if you’re wearing makeup that is easier said than done. So I’m a big fan a base that includes SPF.
So I’m delighted with INGLOT’s new multi-benefit CC Cream which gently corrects imperfections, smooths the skin’s surface and evens tone, leaving behind a fresh, lit-from- within finish without excess shine or heaviness.
Powered by a deep hydrating, skin-enhancing formulation enriched with ceramides and a prebiotic (inulin), the CC Cream helps support the skin’s hydrolipid barrier, reinforcing its natural defence against moisture loss while maintaining long-lasting hydration, helping skin look healthier and more balanced over time.

Thankfully boohoo is on hand with a brand new range of gúnaí.
There’s something for everyone and it’s all garden party approved.

…being bronzed

If Fenty Beauty launches a product, I’m going to be the first in line to get my hands on it.
The brand-new Sun Stalk’r Soufflé Pressed Mousse Cream Bronzer has just dropped and Boots is currently the only place in Ireland you can get your hands on it.
Whether you are looking to sculpt subtle holiday definition or lock down a natural, golden-hour glow at home, here is why this innovative new formula is set to be the centrepiece of your summer makeup bag.
