The VIP List: Here’s what we’re loving this week

It’s been a busy week for us here at VIP Magazine HQ.

We’re putting the finishing touches on the July issue, which will be on shelves very soon. We’re working on our Meath Self Care Sessions which takes place next week – get your tickets here.

Here’s what we’re loving this week…

…Olivia Rodrigo

My little brother is Olivia Rodrigo’s biggest fan. Honestly, his Spotify Wrapped informed him that he was in the top 1 per cent of her listeners in 2024.

So it’s safe to say that I was in the good books when I surprised him with two tickets to the sold-out Marlay Park show, all thanks to Universal Music.

We had a great time bopping the night away and busting absolutely crazy moves. It’s safe to say that we had the best night ever and no rain could dampen our mood!

Look, if you’re anything like me, then you will certainly have forgotten a least one thing when you’re travelling. My poor partner is driven demented by me begging him to borrow toothpaste, deodrant, chargers.

Thankfully I’m not alone – new research by Gemini by Google has shown that two thirds (66%) of all Irish adults have forgotten an important item when packing for holidays. The top forgotten items include: travel adapters, phone chargers and toothbrushes with nearly one in ten even forgetting their phone!

Google searches for ‘packing list’ soared by over 50% in the last three months and the top three Google Search questions related to holiday packing in Ireland in the last month were :

  • What can’t I put in a liquids bag?
  • What to pack for a sun holiday?
  • What to pack for holiday in Portugal in June?

To help take the stress out of travel this summer, you can download the Gemini app on the Android Play Store or App store for iOS.

…a beautiful blush

I have definitely waxed poetically about my love for blush.

But my love for blush began when I got a Benefit gift set as a teenager for Christmas. Inside that was a beautiful Benetint, which I used to death. I have Benetint literally everywhere, in bags, in my car, at my desk and hidden around the house. Just in case, I need to update my blush or lipstain!

Now Benefit as revealed that for the first time since 1976, this distinctive tint gets reimagined in 2 new universal shades – Raspberry and Dark Cherry.

You can grab your new shade now!

We all are trying to be a bit more healthy, but it’s hard to swallow (literally) all the vitamins that we need to get.

Boots has now introduced a vibrant and fresh approach to wellness with its new own-label brand. HABI offers supplements and skincare designed to encourage good habits over hype, helping customers build simple, effective wellness routines.

HABI believes healthy, glowing skin comes from cultivating the right daily habits, inside and out. It’s about consistency and care, whether it’s meeting hydration goals, taking Vitamin D, or wearing SPF. HABI helps build routines that are easy to stick to.

HABI’s new range includes 15 supplement gummies with bright and bold packaging, offering solutions for various needs and moods. Carefully formulated to help top up essential nutrition with ease, the lines include trending ingredients such as Sea Moss and Lion’s Mane and staple ingredients such as Vitamin D and Magnesium.

I am so obsessed, find out more here.

…a tinted moisturiser

A few years ago, I gave up on foundation. I want my skin to breathe and even though I do struggle with spots (something I thought would stop when I stopped being a teenager) and redness, I was over the “full glam” of 2016.

I have recently fallen in love with Laura Mercier’s new tinted moisturiser. It is so full coverage you would think it was a proper foundation. And I’m truly obsessed!

Now they have revealed a new product to their range. The Tinted Moisturiser Blurred Matte keeps skin looking effortlessly even, blurred and natural with a 91 per cent skincare-based formula, it delivers 24HR shine control and 16HRs of skin-balancing hydration – it’s so much more than matte!

…a delicious drink

I am trying to be a bit more healthy in my decisions.

And a lot of people would have you think that you can’t have a fun little drink when it comes to being healthy. But you don’t because Kombucha is truly my dream.

SynerChi Kombucha, one of Ireland’s favourite kombuchas, is my go-to drink that’s good for my body and a treat for my taste buds, now with a juicy new twist. Raspberry & Rosehip, the fruity and floral fusion is already becoming a seasonal favourite!

Proudly brewed in Donegal, SynerChi offers a delicious and health-conscious alternative to sugary soft drinks and artificial energy drinks, perfect for keeping your gut happy and energy levels high all summer long.

SynerChi Kombucha is available from €2.75 nationwide in SuperValu, Centra, M&S Ireland, Holland & Barrett Ireland, selected Euro Spars, selected Boots and Nourish at Dunnes Stores, as well as independent health food stores and fine food grocers across the country.

One thing I love is yoga, I fell in love with it last year and have become truly obsessed with the practice.

And this year I’m so excited to head to The Yoga Picnic next weekend!

Crafted by three friends and enthusiastic yoga teachers, Alice Harrison, Mary Gardiner and Katy Harrison, The Yoga Picnic is a wellness experience which brings together Ireland’s leading holistic practitioners for a day of movement, therapies, discussion and music.

The event will let you spend the day practicing yoga, attending breathwork circles and enjoying a beautiful cacao ceremony. There will be music, beautiful stretching classes and the perfect relaxing environment.

There are a limited number of tickets still available, pick yours up here.
