Like many other fans of the Bridget Jones series, I couldn’t contain my excitement when I first heard that a fourth movie was in the works. Naturally, I had my reservations, wondering if it could possibly live up to the charm and wit of the earlier films.
However, after diving into Mad About the Boy, I’m thrilled to say that it truly does meet all my expectations and more. The story captures the same endearing humour and heartfelt moments that made the previous instalments so memorable, and it brings a refreshing new energy while still staying true to the essence of Bridget’s character.
So, if you’re a fan of Bridget Jones (and let’s face it, who isn’t?), you absolutely need to head to the nearest cinema this weekend with your best gal pals, sit back and enjoy what might just be one of my favourite instalments to date. Oh, and don’t forget the hankies – you’ll need them!
