The Script are back.

The lads have announced that they will be releasing a new album this summer before heading on tour around Europe.

Worry not because they will be dropping by Ireland for a date or two.

The Script will play Belfast’s SSE Arena on Wednesday 13th November, before taking to the stage at the 3Arena on Friday 15th November.

Tickets will go on sale on Friday May 24th.

They will release their seventh album, Satellites on August 16th.

This marks the first time they will release music since the tragic passing of The Script co-founder and guitarist Mark Sheehan.

The album pays tribute to Mark, with singer Danny O’Donoghue saying: “The album cover is silhouettes of me, Glen and Ben Sargeant, our bassist, who’s been with us from the beginning.

“Then we have a hooded silhouette because the air of Mark is still there. He always will be, but it’s also giving a tip of the hat to the future. It’ll never be the same Script. We’re just trying to get on and do what it is that we all feel is the next right thing to do and that’s to keep making more great music.”

Anyone who pre-orders their new album before 5pm on Tuesday, May 21st from their site will receive access to an exclusive pre-sale for tickets for the UK and Ireland tour dates.

The pre-sale will open at 9:30am on Wednesday, May 22nd. General sale kicks off from 9:30am on Friday, May 24th at Ticketmaster.
