It seems that Eamonn Holmes’ Irish charm has won over international superstar Russell Crowe.
The tv presenter and the actor started a Twitter conversation last night and Eamonn is now jesting that they are ‘Besties’.
Eamonn started off the conversation saying, “That moment when u pass a guy smoking a ciggie & say ” Oh Hello,Russell Crowe ” and realise he has no idea who u r.”
Russell is not man know for his niceties, however, he was apologetic to the Irish star saying, “Sorry old chap, miles away, long day , started at 5am”
The broadcaster made no qualms about forgiving the New Zeland star and even went on to ask him to send on a sneaky selfie.
He said, “@russellcrowe Don’t be sorry – why would I know who I am ? U however were an acting God in Gladiator . Would have loved a selfie ! Top Man.”
Surprisingly Russel played nice and sent on the coveted selfie, captioning it, “here’s one, cheers.”
Eamonn, was of course more than delighted with Russell’s response and he took to Twitter saying, “Top Man ! Me & @russellcrowe new Besties – I’m assuming if he can’t get Clooney, he’ll be checking my availability ”
This is one budding bromance we’ll be keeping a eye on!
