The opulent surroundings of the Royal Hospital Kilmainham provided the setting for the launch of the Marks & Spencer Autumn / Winter 2015 collection last night – and what a show it was. Floral displays by Appassionata adorned the lavish 17th century venue, which played host to a catwalk fashion show attended by Ireland’s key fashion and lifestyle media.
Stylist Catherine Condell produced the show, which focused on the major trends for this season including Modern Muse, Softly Structured, Elegant Bohemia, Entwined, Noir and Best of British. Stunning models Eve Connolly, Nikki Bonass, Louise Byrne and Maria Boardman sashayed down the runway, showcasing the most covetable items from this season’s collection.
Style Director for Marks and Spencer, Belinda Earl, was in attendance and the FROW was full of fashion-savvy guests and familiar faces including Yvonne Connolly, Colette Fitzpatrick, Norah Casey, Alan Hughes and Corina Gaffey.
Following the show, guests mingled in the Baroque Chapel and enjoyed delicious canapés, wine and a selection of sweet treats displayed on a delectable dessert table while DJ Gordo provided the soundtrack.
