The IFTA 2016 nominations have been revealed this morning, and the standard is extremely high this year. Leading the nominations are Room, Brooklyn, Sing Street and Rebellion.
Over 500 Irish Academy members have cast their votes after viewing this years content. The votes have now been shortlisted and nominees have been confirmed for the ceremony which will take place next month.
Liam Neeson will be honoured at this year’s award ceremony with the Outstanding Contribution to Cinema award, and it will be presented to him by none other than president Michael D Higgins.
