Victoria Smurfit has opened up about having a sense of humour during difficult times.
The actress was married to Douglas Baxter for fifteen years and have three children together.
The pair filed for divorce in 2015.
The 43-year-old showed fans that she had a positive outlook by posting a message about the split on social media.
Revealing the irony of the shoot she was on, she said: “The day my divorce was final I was filming The Lears Movie in a wedding dress.
“Proof that life has a bloody good sense of humour! It’s a great reminder to always find the ludicrous in all that life throws at you.”
Back in 2015 when the couple initially split, the star shared her words of wisdom for coping during the difficult time.
“It’ll be alright, and this too shall pass,” she told the Irish Independent.
“Those words ‘this too shall pass’ have been incredible and very simple.
“Whether you’re at the top of the mountain with a great view or whether you’re down in a puddle with your nose in the mud: this too shall pass.”
