Irish culture has never been cooler.
From Hozier to CMAT, our musicians are seriously having a moment.
However, our musicians didn’t just pop up overnight and there are legends who have paved the way.
Irish music legend Kevin Conneff of The Chieftains will be bringing The Dublin Trio to the Arts Club at Ashton’s Restaurant & Public House in Clonskeagh.
The group is made up of three masters of Irish traditional music: uileann pipes and whistles player Joe McKenna, guitarist Tony Byrne, and six-time Grammy winner and bodhrán player Kevin Conneff.
Truly incredible!
Their performances have been described by The Irish Cultural Centre as a “celebration of life in all its local colour and a testament to the indomitable spirit of a storyteller who still has plenty to say.”
The event will take place in the newly opened Ashton’s Restaurant & Public House in Clonskeagh, in their spacious and vibrant Arts Club venue, which overlooks the River Dodder. The space can hold up to 150 people sitting and 450 standing, and hosts an eclectic line-up of live music events weekly, from Honky Tonk and Jazz nights to Blues and Trad.
The fabulous event will take place on September, Wednesday 17th. Grab your tickets here.
