If you’ve been missing The 2 Johnnies, worry not because the lads will be returning to the screen very soon.

They announced their departure from 2FM this summer. And while they aren’t going back to the radio anytime soon, that doesn’t mean that they are abandoning their telly gigs.

Yes, it is reported that Late Night Lock In will be hitting our screens very soon.

Last year saw the debut of the six-part series which was filmed in a pub in Meath in front of a group of loyal 2 Johnnies supporters.

They were joined by musicians and celebs to chat to over the course of the show. These included Una Healy, Marty Morrissey and Eoz Purcell.

“Given it was their first TV show, The 2 Johnnies did well. They learned a lot and they’ll have all that experience for season two. The crew found them lovely, down-to-earth guys and loved working with them,” a source told The Irish Sun.

This isn’t the only show they’re attached to.

According to The Irish Sun, they are working on a new quiz show entitled Snapshot.

It’s reported that the show will air on RTÉ and is being produced by TV company ShinAwil. The company is behind some of the nation’s biggest hits including Dancing with the Stars, Home of the Year, Celebrity Masterchef Ireland and The Voice of Ireland.

“Hosting live TV and reading autocue was something that was totally new to the two lads, but they took direction really well,” ShinAwil boss Larry Bass told the publication.

A pilot has been commissioned and if it gets the green light it could air as soon as autumn.

Johnny B previously told VIP Magazine about the future of Late Night Lock In, saying: “This show is so demanding and it is so fluid. A guest could fall out of the sky. We have a guy coming on this week and he only got in touch on Instagram last night. We’re not looking past this series.”
