Viewers were left shocked yesterday evening by TG4’s weather report. All seemed normal until the end of the segment, when presenter Caitlín Nic Aoidh was involved in a scary encounter.
During the broadcast while Caitlin was presenting, she was suddenly struck by lightening and disappeared off the screen, leaving viewers perplexed as to whether it was a Halloween plank or not. A number of them even took to Twitter to express their concern.
@NellasMusic said, “What just happened on @TG4TV? Did she just get electrocuted or was that a prank? #TG4,” while @WhiteDoveLMK saw the funny side and said, “Halloween weather, TG4 style…”

The station celebrated their 20th anniversary this weekend, and this trick definitely added a spook-tacular element to the festivities. Well played TG4!
