VIP Magazine caught up Mario Rosenstock for a quick chat!
Here’s what he had to say…
Where are you right now?
At my desk writing and recording tomorrow’s Gift Grub for Today FM.
How would you describe Mario Rosenstock?
Generous, talented and looks at least 10 years younger than he is!
Tell us a standout childhood memory!
Aged five trying to herd 60 cows into a field in Waterford with a small stick.
You’re in charge of dinner, what are you cooking?
Spaghetti Bolognese cooked with plenty of red wine in the pan.
When you have a day off work, what are you doing?
Playing tennis, walking and listening to radio and podcasts.
Do you have any hidden talents?
My backhand slice in tennis is lethal.
What’s your favourite movie?
Barry Lyndon, a 1975 period drama film, written, directed and produced by Stanley Kubrick.
Where do you want to be in 10 years’ time?
I would love to be here doing pretty much exactly the same thing I am doing now.
If you weren’t doing this what would you be doing?
I probably would have been a teacher or a barrister.
When are you happiest?
Seeing someone listening to a sketch I’ve done on the radio and laughing.
What’s next?
More podcasts, chasing some interesting guests like Michael D and hopefully more live tours.
Mario stars in new movie, The Hurler, a first feature from Tony Kelly, which is on limited release now.
