Are you at a loss for what to get up to this spooky weekend? Well, fear not, there’s heaps of events and activities to keep you occupied and entertained this bank holiday weekend. Here’s our top picks:

The Nightmare Realm

After haunting thousands of brave visitors in Cork since 2009, The Nightmare Realm, Ireland’s most chilling scare-house experience, has now come to Dublin’s RDS. The Nightmare Realm is Ireland’s most extreme scare attraction it’s not your typical haunted house, there are no ghosts and goblins, their sets and live creatures bring to life your darkest fears – it’s not for the faint hearted! Tickets for both the Cork and Dublin horror experience are available here, and are priced between €15-€26.

Bram Stoker Festival

Bram Stoker Festival is taking place across Dublin City Centre from October 28th-31st and it has something for everyone in its gothically inspired programme of events. Whether you’d like to pay a visit to Dracula’s Spooky Sound Lab or head along to Mother Stoker’s Sickly Stories – this festival is the place for you! It’s got something for everyone across the four days and you can view the full list of events and activities here.

Smithfield Market Fair Gothic Edition

The Generator, Smithfield are playing host to a spooktacular market fair this weekend. The themed market will be selling a range of products including; Vintage Clothing, jewellery, arts and crafts, sweet treats, home furnishings, home decor and Baked Goods. There will also be a cafe, bar and bar bites until late, as well as music by Mutefish and Erica Cody. The highly anticipated fair will take place October 30th-31st from 12pm-11pm.

The Bernard Shaw’s Halloween Treehouse of Horror

The Simpsons

One of our favourite spots in Dublin, The Bernard Shaw, will be transformed into the Treehouse of Horrors for the night in ode to a series of spooky Simpsons. A Simpsons table quiz will take place at 7pm, Flamin’ Moes will be on special, there’ll be a Homer donut eating contest and there’ll be a prize for best dressed. The night kicks off this Sunday at 7pm and it’s free in!

Halloween Drive in Movies

This is the perfect event for any of you who want to take it easy this Halloween. The Halloween Drive in movies in Cherrywood will be showing some of the biggest cult classics including; Grease, Dirty Dancing, Scream and Hocus Pocus.
