A host of fashionable famous faces headed West over the bank holiday weekend to part with their favourite items from their wardrobe – and all for a good cause.
Xpose’s Lisa Cannon, Winning Streak presenter Sinead Kennedy, Love/Hate actress Susan Loughnane and Fair City’s Aoibhin Garrihy all hopped on board for the second Armada Hotel Pop Up Rail Sale in Spanish Point on Bank Holiday Monday to raise money for the aftermath of the devastating earthquake in Nepal.
VIP broke the news last week that Lisa would be parting with her much-talked about Vera Wang dress from our Style Awards, and the other celebrities offered up their favourite designer bags, accessories and shoes for the charity event.
“The day was a huge success with ladies travelling from Galway, Limerick Cork and Kerry to get a glimpse at the celebrity style and bag a bargain in the process,” Aoibhin told us.
“The Vera Wang dress certainly drew lots of attention with many posing for a picture with the guna but unfortunately nobody matched the opening bid on the day.
“However all the other celebrity dresses were sold, the raffle was a huge success and the crowds came in their droves, bringing the total figure raised for the Armada Support for Nepal Campaign figure to €12,000 and rising yesterday evening.”
