How very modern – popular radio presenter Nikki Hayes has announced her marriage via Twitter.
The Spin 103.8 DJ revealed she had wed long-term love Frank Black with a seriously cute selfie on her social media page earlier today.
“So I’m now Mrs. Black,” the former RTE 2FM host tweeted.
The 36-year-old had updated her followers hours before with the pre-wedding preparations, which included alternating champagne with cups of Lyons tea.
And before walking down the aisle in a civil ceremony in Dublin, she used her voice online to campaign for the Yes vote in the upcoming marriage referendum.
She tweeted her 18.5k followers: “One moment before I head to get married later… Everyone should have this right… 110% vote yes.
“It’s the way it needs to be #MarRef.”
The couple have been in a relationship since 2010, have a two-year-old daughter Farrah together, who played a part in the ceremony.
Nikki and Frank got engaged after the Donegal man popped the question in 2012 in the five-star Lough Eske castle.
And the radio star said she “just knew” he was the right man for her from the very start.
“You do know when you meet the right person. It’s completely different to any other relationship I’ve ever had and everything’s just easy with him — he’s definitely the one,” she said.
