Smalltown is returning to our screens this Thursday evening and, this episode is set to have you in tears!
In this Thursday night’s episode Conor has returned home to visit his sick mother but his presence does little to ease the pain. Eager to escape the house, Conor heads to the town in search of his old flame Sarah. She’s working in the salon across the street when he finally catches up with her, but it’s awkward and the identity of her current boyfriend remains a secret.
He later shares a deep conversation with his brother and speaks with Father Moore who senses that Conor isn’t ready to face his mother’s impending death. Conor speaks with his father (played by Pat Shortt) who expresses his doubts about himself, and Conor apologises for not being home more often.
Having made progress with his brother and father, Conor cooks them dinner and they eat in the room with Mary. The next day, Conor visits Sarah’s house only to discover his old friend Fergus there and the mystery quickly becomes clear. It’s obvious the pair are now a couple. Feeling hurt and betrayed Conor meets Sarah in the car park and they argue about the past and how things have turned out. Sarah reveals that she is pregnant with Fergus’ child and Conor later confronts Fergus and old wounds resurface. To add to Conor’s troubles, the home help nurse warns the family to prepare for the worst.
‘Smalltown’ continues on TV3 this Thursday (8th September) at 9.30pm – you won’t want to miss this memorable episode!
