Sinead Kennedy is always in flying form and during our latest chat with her for our December issue, she couldn’t be happier.
However, there is one thing that irks her beyond all compare – pitting women against one another.
Sinead, who presents the Today Show alongside Dáithí Ó Sé, is often pitted against her co-host Maura Derrane.
However, she feels like it’s “prehistoric” to continuously make women battle it out against one another.
“The whole thing is mad, it’s prehistoric to still on in this way where two women can’t work together without drama or hassle, “ she tells us.
“We work on the same programme, but not even the same days, “ she says of her relationship with Maura.
“I rarely see her, if at all, but that’s not to say there’s anything going on, I could pick up the phone to her and we’d chat away for an hour. There’s no issues, we get on so well. “
Sinead added that in the future The Today Show is planning to shake things up and have both women present shows together.
Although she admitted it “won’t be a regular thing“, she is excited to “mix things up“.
