Simon Delaney has hilariously brushed off tweets he received from an online troll. Rather than rising to the troll, Simon retweeted each comment, with a witty, cheerful response.

The troll, whose Twitter account is under the name Nathan, initially tweeted Simon saying, “Get a life ya clot.” To which Simon then replied, “Morning Nathan! Have a great day!”

Afterwards, Simon shared an image of himself on stage, to which the online troll again decided to voice his negative opinion towards Simon, saying, “I f’n detest plays.. the acting is always poor and they are so far fetched.”

Simon then shared Nathan’s tweet again, and said, “Here’s more from Nathan! Love people who wake up in great form!”

Nathan replied, “Theatre is so so boring..a good concert is way better.. and that Simon chap needs the gym.. not the Kitchen.” Simon then hit back to this, “Brilliant, thanks for the advice Nathan! I see from your profile you’re a ‘comedian’? How’s that working out for you?”

Fans, followers and friends loved Simon’s responses, and shared their support for him. Claire Ronan tweeted “God could you love Simon Delaney more!”. While Aisling Sheehy said: “Don’t mind him Simon. You’ve a brilliant career your clever, kind and gorgeous.”

Meanwhile, Simon and his wife Lisa recently celebrated their 15th anniversary together.
