Síle Seoige is our November cover star and there couldn’t be a better woman for the job.
The presenter has been keeping busy with two little ones underfoot, Cathal and Clíodhna, working on her podcast and being a devoted partner to her love, Damien O’Farrell.
She’s had plenty of life lessons over the years but the Galway girl confesses that it is her children who are her biggest teachers.
Speaking to VIP Magazine, she explains: “I have dabbled in lots of different types of retreats and holistic therapies but nothing teaches you patience, understanding and calm more than having kids. Children become your greatest teachers.
“They’re little gurus — who push your buttons and your limits! And that’s just kids being kids, that’s normal. But that’s why I love yoga and meditation and breathwork because it has taught me how to juggle.
“In my experience, anyone who has turned to yoga — and particularly trained in it — has been drawn to it because of some type of suffering.
“At a time in my life when I was broken and lost, yoga became a real tool to help me rebuild. But nothing has taught me the patience and power of breath more than becoming a mother.”
She also praised her partner, Damien telling us: “I’m very lucky that Damien is such a great partner and dad.”
