Sienna Miller has nothing but praise for Ireland, and she’s particularly entranced by Co.Cork.
The award-winning actress gushed about our Emerald Isle during her appearance on RTE’s Today with Maura and Daithi show, alongside director James Gray.
“Cork is stunning. Ballymaloe – I really want to go,” she said referring to Darina Allen’s famous cookery school.
“I’ve been to the hotel but I really want to do a cooking course.
“My family and I travelled to Ireland several years back and we thought it was one of the most beautiful spots on earth. We love Ireland.
“Cork is magnificent. It is stunning. I’m not just saying that – off the record Cork is unbelievable, Ireland is unbelievable.”
Speaking about her upcoming role in The Lost City of Z, where Sienna plays the wife of explorer Percy Fawcet, the actress said she lobbied for the role and always wanted to work with the movie’s director, James Gray.
“I was really interested in working with James and we first met for this about seven years ago. We worked really, really hard to ensure she wasn’t just a wife.” she said.
“She’s very independent, very modern, and she’s brave and she’s just a character I loved.”
