Bad Sisters is returning for a second season very soon.

And we are so excited to get to see the Garvey sisters again.

Sharon Horgan, the star and writer of show, has opened up about the amount of pressure she felt when writing the return of the show.

Originally, the beloved Apple+ series was meant to be a mini-series. However, the popularity of the show prompted it to come back for a second season.

And Sharon felt the pressure to live up to the hype!

Speaking to the RTÉ Guide, Sharon discussed the responsibility she felt to fans of the show as well as carefully portraying some of the more serious issues explored in the show, including abusive relationships and coercive control.

“I always feel pressure in everything I do because I’ve been lucky enough to have people respond to the kind of stories I’m interested in telling. By this time around, I felt a particular responsibility to all those people who contacted me after they’d seen the show and said it was the first time they’d seen their experiences shown on screen,” she told the publication.

“We wanted to honour the stories of those who saw their lives reflected in the show, while also surprising and engaging our audience with new twists and turns.”

We can’t wait to see how the Garvey sisters handle what is thrown at them this season.

The synopsis for season two reads: “Bad Sisters, season two returns to follow the lives of the Garvey sisters played by Sharon Horgan as Eva, Anne-Marie Duff as Grace, Eva Birthistle as Ursula, Sarah Greene as Bibi, and Eve Hewson as Becka.

“Two years after the ‘accidental death’ of Grace’s abusive husband, the close-knit Garvey sisters may have moved on, but when past truths resurface, the ladies are thrust back into the spotlight, suspicions are at an all-time high, lies are told, secrets revealed, and the sisters are forced to work out who they can trust.”

The series sees the return of Daryl McCormack, Michael Smiley and Saise Quinn. There will also be new faces like Fiona Shaw, Owen McDonnell, Thaddea Graham, Barry Ward and Peter Claffey.

The first two episodes drop on November 13th with the rest airing every Wednesday until Christmas!
