Shane Lynch has opened up about being dyslexic and how the diagnosis helped him.
The Boyzone singer said that he found it difficult being on TV and reading autocue’s when he was in the band.
He took part in a documentary about dyslexia back in 2013 and was diagnosed while filming the show.
Shane explained that while he knew there was an issue, he was never tested before the documentary.
He described the process as stressful but also best experiences because it explained a lot to him.
“I wouldn’t change it because it pushed me into music,” he said.
The singer also explained that it was difficult when it came to working on TV with the band.
“There was a lot of autocues and stuff you had to read.
“I became the wingman very quickly so I just hid behind the rest of the boys.
“It meant I was very unapproachable,” he told the Ray D’Arcy show.
