Sarah Greene has shared an emotional response to her IFTA win over the weekend. The Irish star won Best Supporting Actress at the Irish Film and Television Awards from her role in hit TV show, Normal People.
Sharing her delight at winning to social media she said; “I was a bit overwhelmed and shocked when @travisfimmel said my name. Well done @grainneseoige, hosting an online awards ceremony is no joke, sorry for being so awkward.”
“I wanted to thank @emmahcampbell @catherinemproducer Lenny Abrahamson and @louisekielycasting for casting me as one of my favourite fictional characters. To Sally Rooney for writing something so beautiful. I wanted to thank the incredible cast and crew. It really was such special job.”
She continued; “Thank you so so much @iftaacademy and congratulations to all the nominees. Lorraine truly is an inspiration and I hope I can do as good a job with my son.”
Many other famous faces were quick to share their congratulations with Amy Huberman saying; “Aw congratulations Sarah you are fabulous” and Jamie Dornan also sharing his congratulations.
Fellow actress Catriona Balfe commented; “Congratulations Sarah !!! So deserved.”
