
Saoirse Ronan has cemented her place as a Hollywood darling.
She started her career at the tender age of nine in The Clinic back in 2003.
The Carlow woman then went on to make her silver screen debut four years later in 2007 in I Could Never Be Your Woman.
She earned an Oscar nomination for her role in Atonement when she was 13 years old.

Saoirse, who welcomed her first child last year, has been nominated for four Oscars over the years. And now it looks lke she is ready to make an exciting career move.
According to Screen Ireland, Saoirse will make her directorial debut in a new Irish short film, titled Paper Plane.
She is also named as the main writer on the project which looks to be released later this year.
No further details have been shared about the short film but we’re very excited to see how it pans out.

It comes after Saoirse was cast in the upcoming Beatles biopics. She is set to play the one and only Linda McCartney.
Paul Mescal will play Paul McCartney. This isn’t the first time that Paul and Saoirse have played a married couple. They originally starred together in sci-fi flick, Foe in 2023.
Barry Keoghan will also star in the four part biopics about the iconic band. The Dubliner will play Barry Keoghan.
