Ahead of the Dublin premiere of her new Oscar-tipped movie Brooklyn next month, Saoirse Ronan has been spotted in the capital doing a spot of shopping.
The Academy-nominee was photographed looking very chic as she browsed the shops in the city, and happily smiled for pictures as she carried her bags of goodies, including one from Mo Muse jewellery.
Having just returned from Canada where she attended the Toronto Film Festival for Brooklyn, Saoirse went for a laid-back all-black outfit, completed with a stylish black hat.
While promoting her new movie in Canada, the Co. Carlow actress said she would be thrilled for the flick to get recognition at the Oscars.
Speaking to Toronto’s NOW magazine, she said: “Jesus, it would be absolutely amazing for the film to get recognized. Even the fact that some people are talking about it in those terms is a dream. Whether it happens or not.”
She stars in the film alongside Domhnall Gleeson, Emory Cohen, Julie Waters and Jim Broadbent, and plays a small-town girl who moves to New York before tragedy brings her home.
