They’re one of our favourite groups on Gogglebox Ireland and we look forward to watching their antics and hearing their hilarious comments each week – but sadly, one of the Cabra Girls won’t be back for a little while.
Ashley and Grainne and are sisters who live together and Jamie and Lindsay are their best friends, who pop over each week.
Due to restrictions surrounding Covid-19 and the new guidelines which state you can only have one other person in your household, they’ve had to drop from a group of four, to three.
“It’ll be weird doing it with just three of us but we’re all in this together, so what can you do? I don’t think it’ll stop us from saying what we think and hopefully, it won’t be for too long,” said Jamie.
Darren Smith, the show’s executive producer revealed the health and well-being of the cast and crew is of utmost importance and as soon as they’re allowed, the four girls will be back together.
“We’re happy to adhere to Government and HSE guidelines as Dublin enters Level 3 status,” he said.
“We will undoubtedly miss seeing the Cabra Girls in their classic four piece line-up, but we’re confident that via their new three piece version they’ll still manage to deliver their unique, funny and often touching take on the week’s telly, and obviously we look forward to welcoming them all back together once Government advice allows”.
The show airs tonight at 9pm on Virgin Media One. We can’t wait to tune in.
