The Late Late show has been a household staple across the country for what feels like forever, something a lot of families look forward to on a Friday night.
The show wrapped up for the summer back in May, giving Tubs and the crew a much needed break. With most shows and events cancelled due to Covid-19, The Late Late did their best to keep things going and to maintain some normality for their viewers.
Late Late fans will be pleased to know the chat show will return to RTE1 on the 3rd of September at its usual time of EXACTLY 9:35pm. It will also celebrate its 60th season on the air!
At the RTE new season launch presenter Ryan Tubridy said that by continuing the show during the pandemic he felt they, “embraced a whole new sense of empathy for people at home.
“I definitely grew considerably in terms of who I am as a person and as a presenter. It felt like things changed. I was well-guided from my colleagues and friends and they brought me to places career-wise and professionally I hadn’t been to before,” he said.
Although he admits it was “a challenge to broadcast to an empty hall” and he hopes that a studio audience will be a possibility in the near future.
“I’m ready to get back and stuck in. It feels like it’s a different time to the last two seasons kicking off, so we’re ready for it.”
