Ryan Tubridy’s latest run-in with an old Hollywood friend proves once again that the world really is too small.
Yes, the presenter had a surprise reunion with the one and only Jamie Lee Curtis recently, and fans can’t stop talking about it — not to mention how delightfully unexpected it was!
In fact, it was Jamie Lee who took to Instagram herself to share the special (if you can call it that) moment.
“A LIFELONG FAVORITE @instatubridy and I run into each other in the most glamorous of places,” she wrote alongside a snap of the pair smiling outside what seems to be a public restroom.

The pair first met on The Late Late Show back in 2022, when Ryan was on hosting duties.
Their instant chemistry and infectious energy made them fast friends, a bond that has clearly lasted over the years.
Their chance encounter in a bathroom comes almost two years after Jamie Lee’s well-meaning but famously confusing Instagram tribute to Ryan following his departure from The Late Late Show in 2023.
At the time, she posted a heartfelt message wishing him well ahead of his final episode, though the wording of her caption led many American fans to mistakenly think she was mourning the loss of a close friend.
Despite the mix-up, Ryan has always spoken warmly of Jamie Lee, describing her as one of the guests he connected with immediately during his Late Late Show tenure.
“Sometimes you just meet someone and you go, ‘You’re a buzzer, and I’m up for this,'”he told his radio listeners at the time.
“She’s one of those people you warm to instantly.”
