Ryan Tubridy has been left starstruck, after a signed photograph and letter from Julia Roberts appeared on his desk today.
The RTE broadcaster is a big fan of the Pretty Woman star, and was totally gobsmacked on his Radio 1 show this morning.
Although he’s unsure if the letter is legitimate, the letter does claim to be from Julia herself, and Ryan read the contents of it on air this morning. It read, “Hi Ryan. it’s Julia Roberts! One of my personal assistant’s is Irish and he told me you’re a big fan of my work, especially Eat Pray Love.
“It’s so great to hear I have an Irish fan such as yourself. I’ve enclosed an autographed picture, I do hope you like it. Thanks for all your support. Love, Julia.”
Accompanying the letter on Instagram the Late Late Show host wrote, “Roberts-gate, Part II…The accompanying letter…#CuriouserAndCuriouser.” Joke or not, Ryan admitted on air that he was delighted with the gesture.
“I don’t know whether someone is taking the mick out of me or whether there is an Irish guy who works with Julia Roberts who got her to sign this to me, but either way, the mystery continues,” he said.
