There’s no denying Ryan Tubridy’s grá for Ireland.
So when it came to where he would take his next holiday, the answer was simple.
Why travel anywhere else, when you can explore the beauty of your local neighbourhood?
Yes, rather than venturing off abroad, Ryan chose to take a trip to Maam Valley in Connemara, Co.Galway.

Sharing a video on Instagram, the presenter said: “To think, I was considering taking a little holiday to maybe Italy or France or somewhere.
“And then I said, ‘What the hell, why would I do such a thing?’ When your own neighbourhood, wait for it…” he added as he panned his video camera to the breathtaking views of Connerma.
“Looks like this. Maam Valley, Connemara County Galway. July 2024, the rain is falling a lot around the country but in this little part of the world. Nope.
“Pure peace. Beautiful, he added.”
Although Ryan relocated to London at the beginning of the new year for his new job in Virgin Radio, the presenter has been partial to a visit back home, returning whenever he gets the chance.
As enjoys a bit of downtime in Galway, his regular radio slot is currently being hosted by Vogue Williams and Angela Scanlon.
Prior to his visit to Maam Valley, Ryan also praised Kylemore Abbey, labelling it as one of “the greatest” locations on earth.
