Ryan Tubridy announces three week break from radio show

The presenter told listeners this morning he needs to relax before The Late Late Show returns in September.

Ryan Tubridy is taking a break from his morning radio show and already has his replacements in place.

Telling listeners of his plans on the show he said, “That’s true, I’m packing my bags and getting out of your hair for a few weeks.

“And by the time I get back I’ll be heading towards the reality of Late Late Show and Toy Show, and everything else that is going to happen when schools come back and relative, I hope, normality and audiences and excitement.

“But before that, I’ve got a heap of books I want to get through and read and relax and turn it all off. Go off grid for a little while and enjoy the liberty of that.”

So, while Tubs is away who will be on air in his usual slot? According to RSVP Live for the first two weeks comic Oliver Callan will take his spot and in the final week we can hear Baz Ashmawy take to the radio slot before Ryan makes his return.

Ryan previously took a two week break in June which he thoroughly enjoyed, speaking of it at the time he said, “I really needed a break and there are a lot of people listening today who feel the same way. If you are in a position to take a little time out, just take it”.

“I headed up and down the west coast of Ireland, some of the places I revisited and I met some people that I had met along the way on the show. I took in West Cork and the Connemara coast”.

We can’t wait to hear about what he gets up to this time, enjoy your well deserved break Ryan!
