Our very own Ruth Negga is set to appear in Number One on the Call Sheet, a new Apple TV+ documentary celebrating Black talent in Hollywood.
The documentary, which will be split into two parts, one focusing on male stars and the second on female stars, will explore the contributions of Black actors and actresses who have led the way in the entertainment industry, highlighting their experiences, challenges, and successes.
The two-part documentary will premiere on Apple TV+ globally on 28 March.
Negga, known for her powerful performances in Loving, Preacher, and Passing, joins a lineup of influential figures in film and television with the likes of Angela Bassett, Halle Berry, Viola Davis, and Whoopi Goldberg all signed on to the project.

While additional contributors include Cynthia Erivo, Vivica A. Fox, Meagan Good, Tiffany Haddish, Taraji P. Henson, and Nia Long to name but a few.
And with Jamie Foxx and Kevin Hart as producers, you know it’s going to be star-studded!
Speaking at a premiere screening in New York, ahead of the global launch, Kevin Hart surprised guests, bringing down the house as he introduced the documentary.
“I personally think Number One on the Call Sheet idea is genius — one of the best ideas I’ve ever been able to be a part of — especially in the space of documentary and storytelling,” he noted.

Over the past year, Negga has remained busy with a range of projects across stage and screen.
She returned to the London stage for the world premiere of Quiet Songs, earning praise for her powerful performance.
We love seeing this gal back on our screen!
