Rugby star Dave Kearney and Becca Mehigan give birth to their first child

Congratulations are in order for rugby star Dave Kearney and his wife Becca Mehigan as the pair have recently announced the birth of their first child.

The new addition to the family comes just months after the couple upped sticks and moved to Chicago after Dave signed a deal with a club over in America.

After making their relationship public back in 2019, Dave and Becca tied the knot in the summer of 2023.

Fast forward to 2025 and the pair couldn’t be happier.

Sharing the news to Instagram, Becca said: “Welcome to the world, Zach Michael Kearney 28.12.24.” followed by a heart emoji.

“Carrying you over the past 9 months has been the greatest privilege of my life.

“Having you join us in the world is a love and excitement that words cannot describe.

“We love you so much,” she concluded.

Friends of Becca and Dave soon flocked to the comments with words of congratulations for the pair.

“Huge huge congrats guys he is just beautiful,” wrote Thalia Heffernan.

While Georgie Crawford added: “BECCA!!! So so happy for you both how gorgeous is Zach.”
