Rob Kearney has revealed he’ll be moving to Australia after signing with new team, Western Force.
Last week the sports star announced his retirement from the Leinster and Irish rugby teams, but he has no intentions of hanging up his boots entirely, just yet.
He’ll be moving to Perth over the coming months and can’t wait to get involved with the new club.
Writing on the Western Force website, he said, “I hope to add value both on and off the field that complements the high ambition of the club.
“I’m particularly excited to immerse myself in a new performance environment and to play both with and against some of the best players and teams in the southern hemisphere.
“I look forward to moving to Western Australia to begin building relationships with my new teammates and coaches alike and to meet the ever-growing Western Force fan base which also includes a strong Irish contingent.”
It’s thought his partner Jess Redden will join him for the big move.
The happy couple announced their engagement earlier this year, after he popped the question in New York on New Year’s Eve.
Sharing a loved-up snap of the pair in Times Square, she said, “Happy NYE from me and my hubby to be!”
We wish them continued happiness.
