RTE have confirmed the uncertain future of Republic of Telly.
The national broadcaster have revealed a statement following yesterday’s reports that the show might be in jeopardy.
Station bosses have yet to come to a conclusive decision about the future of Republic of Telly, and whether or not it will return to our screens, depends on it’s performance this series.
The statement reads, “No decision has been made yet on whether Republic of Telly will be returning to RTE2 in the spring.
“As is common practice for all our shows, we will review it’s performance this season and over the coming will make a decision on whether to re-commission it for another series in 2017.
“RTE is committed to producing home grown Irish content on RTE2 on Monday nights and will continue to do so in 2017.”
