Roz Purcell bravely opened up about her struggles with an eating disorder on The Tommy Tiernan Show this weekend, and is now thanking followers for their support after the candid chat.
Taking to Instagram, the influencer revealed she was very nervous before before the interview. Writing: “I was really, really nervous about doing this show, as I’ve gotten older I feel far more overwhelmed about doing interviews especially a big one like this, so I’ve avoided most for the past 2 years.”
“Knowing that the show is all about a surprise guest and not having any idea of the direction of interview, I definitely wasn’t mentally prepared to speak about eating disorders so I hope I did okay.”
“I know it can be a very triggering subject for so many. I still get overwhelmed sometimes trying to explain what it’s like, almost brings you back!”
Thanking followers, the Tipperary native wrote: “Anyway thanks for helping me choose my outfit that night even though you had no idea, I may have had to shuffle on stage but it was 10/10 worth it.”
She also thanked host Tommy, and was quick to praise MC Fred Cooke.
Saying: “Thanks for having me on @officialtommedian even though you didn’t actually ask me, thanks to the producers! Also @fredstercooke (ah my god the nicest man)”
Roz received plenty of praise in the comment section, as friends once again gushed over her interview.
Influencer Siobhan O’Hagan wrote: “You did so well, even when the questioning was a little “difficult” to say the least! A national treasure.”
Podcaster Georgie Crawford said: “Roz you were absolutely incredible in every way. I love how yourself you are. Inspiring for so many of us xxxxxxx”
TV presenter Lucy Kennedy commented: “Your sincerity always shines through Xxxx”
