Roz Purcell has admitted that 2016 has been one of her most “up and down” years to date.
Although the author has seen huge success and progression with her career over the past year, it was also tinged with heartache for the model as she split from long-term boyfriend Bressie and her sister Rachel was diagnosed with cancer.
“It’s been a memorable year. It was probably the most up-and-down but also the most fun, which I know might sound strange,” she told the Irish Mirror.
Roz went on to say that although her sister’s diagnosis shocked her family at the beginning, they’ve come to terms with it now and it’s helped them put everything into perspective.
“My sister Rachel’s diagnosis with cancer at the start really shocked our whole family,” she said.
“But it’s kind of come full circle, in that it’s the new normal and she’s inspired our whole family.I suppose it puts everything into perspective. I am definitely not as stressed a person as I used to be.
“I’m enjoying each moment and I take the majority of opportunities that come to me.”
