The 2011 Rose of Tralee, Tara Talbot, tied the knot to her long time love Fionan Henry, and VIP magazine was on hand to get exclusive photographs!
The couple wed in St. Martin of Tours Church, Co. Meath, with 180 guests travelling from all corners of the world for the ceremony and lavish reception.
The couple added a few personal touches to the day, to makes sure the guests had a truly unique experience. “Our wedding was very personal,” Tara told VIP, “we wanted to make sure it reflected us. Our Priest told a hilarious story about how we met in the church, during which he mentioned Snoop Dog, said ‘OMG’ and wrote a poem mentioning a selfie!”
It was a truly glamorous occasion with many of her 2011 Roses in attendance. However there was a notable absence – her dear friend, Washington Rose, Dott Henggeler, had passed away in 2014, and as a special tribute to Dott, all of Tara’s bridesmaids wore various shades of purple – Dott’s favourite colour.
Tara, Fionan and guests had a truly memorable day. “My favourite part of the day was seeing Fionan waiting at the top of the alter, it was a moment I’ll never forget,” a delighted Tara told VIP.
