Rosanna Davison has shared that it’s hard to wrap her head around the fact she is just 12 weeks away from her due date. The former Miss World has been very open about her fertility struggles over the past few years and her experience with surrogacy.
After suffering through fourteen tragic miscarriages, Rosanna and her husband, Wes Quirke made the decision to try surrogacy. Through this they welcomed their first child, Sophia into the world last year.
Earlier this summer the couple then announced the fantastic news that she was expecting twin boys! In a strange coincidence, the boys due date is roughly the same time as baby Sophia’s last year.
Rosanna shared; “September 1st 2019… This day last year it was 12 weeks away from Sophia’s due date and I was busy organising all of her little newborn clothes in her nursery.”
“Exactly one year later, it’s the same length of time to my own due date and I spent today folding away tiny baby boy clothes in the new nursery we’re in the process of decorating for our November babies.”
Rosanna has previously shared that her doctors cannot explain how she was able to sustain her pregnancy this time and has said “it will probably always remain one of life’s mysteries.”
Although it does seem that perhaps the slower pace of life this year could have been a factor; “However, we found out I was pregnant after the first month of lockdown when I was far more physically relaxed than I’ve been in years and enjoying the slow pace of family life at home, despite the anxiety and sadness in the outside world.”
“So perhaps that time out from the stress of busy everyday life made all the difference.”
We couldn’t be happier for the couple that they are welcoming two bundles of joy later this year, although twins and a one year old will certainly be a handful!
“I’m still trying to wrap my head around becoming a mum of three in the space of a year.”
“Life works in the most amazing, unpredictable ways. Never, ever give up hope for your own miracles, whatever they may be.”
