Congratulations are in order for Rory McIlroy as he donned the green jacket for the second year in a row.
It makes him the fourth man ever to win back-to-back Master titles, joining the likes of Jack Nicklaus, Nick Faldo, and Tiger Woods.
He was victorious at Augusta National by just one shot over Scottie Scheffler after a tense Sunday on the course.
In 2022, he became the first person to win the FedEx Cup three times. He won The Players Championship in 2019 and 2025.

After a ten-year drought in the majors, he won the 2025 Masters Tournament to complete the career Grand Slam.
Speaking about retaining his title in 2026, he told the press: “I’ve waited so long to win the Masters and all of a sudden I win two in a row. So I still want to enjoy it.
“I’ve got a couple of weeks off before I go back to playing competitive golf but I don’t think I’ll go through that lull of motivation or the sort of things that I was feeling last year post-winning this tournament.”
It was extra special for Rory as he was joined by his parents, Rosie and Gerry, who were unable to be in attendance in 2025.

“I caught myself a couple of times on the golf course thinking about them, it’s really cool to have them here,” he explained.
“They missed it last year, and the first thing I wanted to do was fly home and see them, and I had to convince them to come this year, because they thought the reason I won last year was because they weren’t here. So I said on the putting green that I am glad I proved that wrong and they can come as often as they want.
“Mum and dad, I owe everything to you. You are the most wonderful parents. If I can be half the parent to Poppy as you were to me, then I know I’ve done a good job.”
He was also cheered on by his wife Erica and his daughter Poppy.
