Rory McIlroy has tied the knot to his long term love Erica Stoll in a lavish ceremony in Co. Mayo.
The couple, who got engaged in 2015, were joined by family and friends yesterday as they said “I do” in the idyllic surroundings of Ashford Castle in Cong, Co Mayo.
A number of high profile celebrities are reported to have been in attendance including; Niall Horan, Ed Sheeran, Jamie Dornan, Sergio Garcia and colleagues from Rory’s European Ryder Cup team.
Stevie Wonder also reportedly performed at the exclusive event, which is estimated to have cost over €1.1million.
However, the vast majority of the guest list was made up of childhood friends of the couple, including Rory’s swing coach Michael Bannon and manager Sean O’Flaherty.
The Co.Down native and American golfing expert made a special request to the media for privacy on their special day, and the grounds of the luxurious hotel have been on lockdown since Friday.
The couple also decided not to do any glossy magazine deals, reportedly turning down six figure sums for their special day.
No photos of the glamorous affair have been leaked yet.
